The Yeezy Orbital Disk Sander is a product engineering project I completed in 2023, assigned to deepen my understanding of the critical components and mechanisms that drive motorised and electronic products. This project also enhanced my proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modelling and KeyShot for rendering, strengthening my technical design skills.
The Yeezy Orbital Sander design is an exploration into product engineering and integration of atypical stylistic qualities in a powertool setting. Inspired by Adidas’ Yeezy textile aesthetic, the overall form of the sander adopts organic details with a fusion of innovative design cues.
The result is a power tool that not only excels in performance but also showcases a bold and distinctive visual identity. The Yeezy Orbital Sander stands as a testament to the harmonious blend of functionality and artistry in the world of powertools, reflecting the seamless integration of unconventional style and engineering precision.
